I went to my usual cafe, like I do most mornings, and got an iced green tea to go (in my cute little cup!) After that, I did a quick bulk barn shop for some spices, pasta, peanut butter and gummy worms, tons of stuff for only $8. Nothing especially special happened at work, but it was slow so I got to answer some of your amazing emails and respond to comments!
I went to the grocery store after to get some olive oil, since bulk barn doesn’t sell it! I’m finding things like oils, yogurt, cream cheese, and butter are difficult to buy waste free. If you have any suggestions or recommendations of places in Toronto that sell these waste-free or in bulk, let me know in the comments!
Came home and cooked some cheesy meatballs with pasta! Sautéed some mushrooms and onions in butter and olive oil, along with salt, basil, rosemary and garlic powder. Then I added the cheesy meatballs (1/2 lb of ground beef or turkey, 1 egg, shredded cheese, garlic powder, mixed and made into bite size pieces). Finally after taking that all out, but leaving the juice and oils, I cooked some sliced tomatoes in the same pan, just to add a little something sweet to the dish. Poured that over some pasta, and that’s it! Another waste-free meal, and only took me 30 minutes to prepare. (No pictures, we were too hungry and ate it too quickly!)

After that, Ryan and I went to meet up with some friends at our local bar and I got the most delicious mixed drink ever! The bartender, who is a good friend of mine, basically like my older brother, was a little (hilariously) annoyed when I asked for a iced green tea with vodka, but honestly, it’s one of my favourites! I asked for no straw, which made the mounds of ice a bit difficult to drink through. I’ve been thinking of buying one of those reusable stainless steel or copper straws, so again if you have a cute etsy shop recommendation, or your favourite place to get them, comment!
