Day 18

I HAVE BROKEN MY ZERO WASTE STREAK 😥 NOOOOOO 😥

Alright, alright, to be fair it was for cough drops that I needed but still!!!! I was doing so well!

day-18I woke up with that dreaded cough coming back to haunt me. I decided to quit taking the oregano oil and go for some strong medicine to finally get over this weird sickness. With the next few upcoming days, I’m going to need all the help I can get. Ryan and I got the keys to our new place, which is amazing, but now the real hard work starts.
We’ve got to fill all the holes, prime and paint the whole apartment, move in all our things and start organizing and decorating. Thankfully, Ryan and I both work at a moving company, me a bit more on an as-need basis than him, so we have tons of friends ready to help us move. Also, did I mention our new place is only a few doors up from our current place? Yeah, I love my neighbourhood and no, I never want to leave Kensington.

I went to get some white paint and primer from the local paint man, Gary. He’s such a sweetheart and always has the best tips whenever I want to paint a new room, and of course the added benefit of supporting locals. Pro tip: Local stores are sometimes CHEAPER than big box stores! I got my paint and primer, plus a new brush and roller refills, all for just under $80. What would have cost me probably $150 at Walmart or a Home Depot, I got for almost half the price.

After that I went to work and started feeling really dizzy and nauseas. I pulled through the day (barely). On a positive note, my playlist just randomly quit and put on a super random artist that I instantly fell in love with. Rachel Sermanni – Under Mountains. My god, so beautiful! I especially am obsessed with the song The Fog. I highly recommend.

I went home and ate my emergency pasta with meat sauce and tucked myself in the bedroom to blog and sleep. I wrote yesterday’s blog half asleep, half drowsy from the benylin.

I’m super stoked to continue this moving journey, and even though today I made some trash I’ve noticed it’s been much much less than when I first started! I’m finding making garbage to be even less of a difficult task as the days pass.
